Shoppers can feel confident that a significant percentage of their purchase goes directly to the artisans and farmers who created it, all over the world. Purchasing Fair Trade certified products marks a distinguished path towards equality, sustainability, and positive change. what is fair trade?

Fair trade is a just, economically and environmentally sound global cooperative between artisans, traders, farmers, buyers, and consumers. By selling directly to buyers in North America, producers in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other developing countries receive a reasonable living wage for their goods instead of a low, undeserving price.

Workers and their families not only benefit, but the profits are often reinvested in the community to improve health and education. Communities learn the advantage of grassroots development and environmental sustainability. Fair trade builds relationships and encourages gender equality among the producers; the products preserve traditions and cultures. This partnership eliminates government intervention and inflated consumer costs.

Fair Trade Winds provides an outlet for consumers to buy these handicrafts and unique products from a diverse group of artisans. We promote businesses and farming practices that are environmentally sustainable.
