At Fair Trade Winds, we have a beautiful collection of cards from the Fair Trade groups Cards from Africa and Sanctuary Springs. Cards from Africa works in Rwanda with local artisans. By working in Rwanda, the organization strives to provide quality employment and sustainability for communities in a country that is continuing to re-build from internal conflicts. Sanctuary Springs employs women in the Philippines who have escaped human trafficking and are now able to have steady employment in a safe work environment.
The cards are all handmade from recycled paper. The paper is repurposed and made into different textures and colors. The eco-friendly practices used are matched by Fair Trade policies and principles that ensure quality labor practices.
