The Akha Floating Necklace is comprised of semi-precious stones and crystal beads on woven silk thread that's comfortable and lightweight, yet durable. They layers of threaded stones and beads creates a stunning effect, as if the beads are floating on your neck.
Each necklace is handcrafted by members of the Ahka tribe, an indigenous people in South-East Asia.
This beautifully and intricately layered necklace features six strands of gold-colored beads and graduated recycled Kantha textile beads. Each necklace will vary slightly, as the Kantha beads are repurposed. Handmade by women artisans in India who are improving their lives and communities through fair trade.
