About the Artisans
Quilling Card artisans take great pride in their craftsmanship and really enjoy the spirit of working together. In 2014 they started one workshop with 100 women; today they have a second facility and have over 500 women working to preserve the art of quilling and provide a living for themselves.
In addition to their 2 workshops, Quilling Card also created a program for women with disabilities. Societal aid is not available in Vietnam as it is in the U.S. and leaves vulnerable people out of economic opportunities. Quilling Card allows these women to take supplies home and complete their work on their own time. They get paid per piece finished and are able to contribute and create beautiful work they otherwise would not have the chance to do.
