I wandered into this store a few weeks ago shopping for a friends’ gift. I wanted to buy everything! Super unique fair trade handmade crafts, purses, bags, home stuff, jewelry, musical instruments, wall decor, chocolate, kid stuff, clothing, scarves and gloves… wonderful colors, textures, fabrics. All high quality but good price range: small stuff and bigger fancier things, so I was more than able to get a really unique gift without breaking the bank. I highly recommend this place for getting gifts, the friendly staff, supporting fair trade and getting lost in another world for a little while!

Seattle, WAI love this store in Old Town Fairfax! They have an eclectic mix of jewelry, kitchen wares, specialty chocolate, scarves, wind chimes and knick knacks. While I do think that some of their items are a bit pricey I highly value their commitment to fair trade. Their jewelry is my favorite and they have a great selection of metals and beads. Some of the jewelry and other wares are also made to improve the lives of individuals living in third world countries and I think that’s a worthy mission that I chose to support.
Another appealing aspect of this store is that it is an independent store and not affiliated with a large chain e.g., World Market or Pier One. I think that gives them some flexibility in the products that they choose to promote as well as in how they manage their business.
I highly recommend this store to support a local independent business and fair trade across the world.

Burke, VAThis cute little store sits right next to Bollywood Bistro and the The Wine House. They have items from all over the world and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve purchased cute handmade jewelry and a few things for the house. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s worth checking out if you are in that part of Fairfax City.

Burke, VAI absolutely love this little shop! I cannot come to Bar Harbor without coming in and I can’t leave without buying something. I have gotten jewelry, handmade cards and thank you notes, and small items for decoration. Each item is fair trade and tells you where it comes from, sometimes even with a picture of who made it. I always feel good about supporting fair trade and giving fair trade items as presents to friends and family. Even though the shop is small, it is well organized and you’ll be sure to find something!

Clarks Summit, PAGood place to pick up a gift/memento/token while you’re in Bar Harbor. Lots of locally themed items. Apparently, all the items are fairly sourced as well. I picked up a solid perfume here that was well-priced at $12.00.

Columbus, OHI love love love this store. I could poke around here at everything for hours if I could. Cute jewelry, decorations, toys and doo-dads for your home. This is a must stop every time I visit the island. And I love the fact that it’s a fair trade store! A lot of the items are hand made and they will show you who made them, either by name or picture! I love that!
