No. You cannot combine the BFCM coupon code with products already on sale. 

Yes, all of our artisan partners were paid fairly and in full for their work. When we run a site-wide sale, that discount comes out of our end. Artisans aren't relying on us sending money back after the sale, they have already been paid.
